About Us

Pastor Luis Cabral was born in Angola, Africa. At the age of 19, while studying to become a lawyer in Portugal, the Lord called him to the ministry. He met Alexandra in Portugal and later got married. Alexandra was an accomplished musician and music teacher when she felt the calling for the ministry.

After working in different departments of his local Church, Luis was released to preach the Word in a small church of 17 people that, in the meantime, grew to several hundred. From 1990 to 1991 they worked as a Youth Pastors and worship leaders in a large Church of several thousand.

In 1991, Luis left for Africa with his wife Alexandra, to work as Crusade managers for Evangelist Peter Pretorius and Jesus Alive Ministries. Their responsibility was the preparation of large evangelistic meetings for crowds of more than two hundred thousand people. In that capacity, they ministered in seminars with the local churches. While in Africa, they also held their own crusades with many thousands in attendance.

Travelling an average of nine months out of twelve, they had the privilege of being in almost every country from Uganda to South Africa. They gained first-hand knowledge of the many challenges and situations that confronted the Africa of the nineties. They were in Angola during the civil war, in Congo (former Zaire), during the outbreak of the Ebola virus, in Eastern Zaire during the crisis involving the refugees that had fled from Rwanda, and in many other situations like famine, riots, etc., preparing gospel crusades and helping the poor. Out of these experiences, TV programs were produced and transmitted on the American TV channel T.B.N., on the program "Life Today", with Ev. James Robinson. While working for Jesus Alive Ministries, Ps. Luis also co-ordinated Evangelism Courses for African Evangelists.

During their time in Africa, they also pastored a Church in Benoni, a suburb of Johannesburg, South Africa and had a radio programme on the Radio Pulpit station.

During this time, Luis was the Director of the Benoni Bible School. At the end of their commitment with the Church, Luis and Alexandra Cabral felt led of the Lord to continue their travelling ministry, preaching wherever the Lord leads them.

Luis and Alexandra live in Melbourne, Australia, where they also Pastor Australia For Christ Fellowship - a multi-cultural church in the suburbs of Melbourne. Luis has authored three books: "The Glory Of God", "Is There Any Sick Among You?" and "God of Breakthrough".

Vision

Luis and Alexandra Cabral have a zealous desire to see the Church revived, glorious, and empowered by the Holy Spirit to be evangelistically potent, before the coming of Jesus. They see their calling as a three-fold mission:-
  • To equip the Body of Christ for the work of the ministry teaching God's word with simplicity and under the anointing of the Holy Spirit.
  • To preach "repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ "(Acts 20:21), to every creature, believing that signs will follow the proclamation of God's word.
  • To bring a "word in season to him who is weary", according to Is. 50:4, and encourage the Church, according to Is. 40:1.
As travelling ministers, they preach in New Zealand, as well as several countries in South America, Asia, Europe and Africa, in Conferences, Churches, Campaigns, Seminars, Bible Schools, Camp Meetings etc. They also have an audio, videotape, and book ministry with many titles available.
